Former Bears coach Mike Ditka addressed a crowd at Fielders baseball field last Friday to talk sports and answer questions from fans. He was preceded by top fuel NHRA drag racer, T.J. Zizzo and Detroit Lions NFL star Tom Nowatzke were special guests when they talked about how to ‘go green’ with fuel and energy-saving. WKRS 1220AM Radio personality, Jerry Boothe served as emcee of the informal event. Ditka threw the first pitch of the Lake County Fielders against Winnipeg Goldeyes in a doubleheader that started at 6 p.m.
