On May 13, longtime Zion couple Bill and Evelyn LaBelle celebrated 70 years of marriage at the Barton Senior Residences. The couple eloped when she was 17 and he was 19. He had worked at the Zion Department store for 10 years before going to Naden’s to sell shoes, which later became Roth’s Shoe store.
